Osteosynthesis of the femoral neck consists of fixing the fracture with screws or plate and screw system in order to allow subsequent bone healing. It is the surgery of choice for fractures without deviation or fractures with deviation in young individuals. It maintains the native hip, avoiding prosthetic joint replacement. It depends, postoperatively, on the type and quality of reduction as well as on the individual’s bone biology, since stabilization of the fracture is not in itself synonymous with consolidation.
