On July 7th 2022, in Centro Hospitalar Universitário Cova da Beira, two unprecedented surgeries were performed by the Orthopedics Service.
Headed by Dr. António Figueiredo, it promoted, through the enthusiasm of Dr. André Pinto, an inter-par meeting to perform in this hospital the first cases of Hip Arthroscopy for the treatment of hip pathology in young adults.
Dr. João Sarmento Esteves and Dr. Pedro Simas, founders of the Hip & Pelvis project, participated as guests and mentors. Both have more than 10 years of experience in this surgical technique.
The Centro Hospitalar Universitário Cova da Beira and personally Dr. André Pinto, thank the availability of their guests and the commercial sponsor, without whom this meeting would not be possible, which marks the beginning of a new surgical technique in this hospital unit.
