In the first session of the HIP G.I.N., the goal was to review the paradigm of the conservative treatment of hip intra-articular lesions, including labrum and cartilage lesions, namely in the femoroacetabular conflict, the most frequent indication for hip arthroscopy. Module 1A had the opportunity to answer the following questions:
– What are the Pearls and pitfalls for successful arthroscopy?
– What are the innovations in labral suturing techniques and for difficult cartilage injuries?
– When does it become necessary to “reconstruct” a new labrum? How do we do it?
– What should we do in cases of arthrofibrosis that complicate the much needed rehabilitation?
The guest panel, made up of experts in the field, included Dr. João Marcelo Petini, Dr. Marc Tey, Dr. António Seco and Dr. Luiz Henrique Rodrigues.
