He completed his specialization in Orthopaedics at the Fernando Fonseca Hospital and then did a postgraduate course in Sports Medicine. He then began his specialization in hip pathology, with a particular interest in mini-invasive techniques. He worked in the UK at the renowned Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital during his fellowship in prosthetic surgery. He participated in various surgical interventions at the Dexeus Institute in Barcelona with Prof. Manuel Ribas and the G.B. Mangioni Hospital in Lecco with Prof. Maurizio Catagni. He started working at the Cascais Hospital in 2017, as coordinator of the hip unit, where he introduced anterior hip prosthesis and hip arthroscopy techniques, including being elevated to the level of “Center of Excellence” in hip arthroplasty. He is a faculty member of AO-Trauma Portugal, ISHA, and SPOT. He works as a hip surgeon and director of the Orthopaedic service at Cascais Hospital. Currently carries out his clinical activity at Lusíadas Lisboa Hospital.
